I’m not a huge fan of pink, and tend to reject the “pink is for girls” mindset. Incidentally, if you agree on this point, you’ll love Man vs. Pink.
The only pink garment I have is a fine knit with a big black gros-grain bow, in the dusky pink colour of a Miu Miu shoe box.
My shoedrobe lacks any rose-hued articles, and I expect it will stay that way for some time: red is my preferred shoe bright.
For these reasons, I was surprised when something on the Christian Dior AW15 catwalk caught my eye, and left me strangely tempted.
Perhaps it is the contrast of cliché-girly hot pink with fetishistic shiny PVC that I find so appealing.
Now the only things stopping me from jumping on the Dior waiting list are:
- Can I justify the price-tag for such a non-classic?
- Should there be an age limit for these boots (hmm nah)?
- What on earth would I wear them with, and on what occasion?
Are you a lover of all things pink, or is it not your hue?
